From 6–10 July, several ACE²-EU Alliance international activities are taking place at Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu (Romania), with active participation from students and staff of Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija.
Students are taking part in two ACE²-EU Flavour Schools – “Active Aging, Health and Wellbeing” and “Leisure Sports Activities”, focusing on active ageing, health, well-being, and recreational sports. Working in international groups, participants are expanding their knowledge of healthy lifestyles, physical activity, social well-being, and the role of sport in improving quality of life. They are also taking part in practical activities and exchanging experiences with students from other ACE²-EU partner institutions.
At the same time, one LIK student is participating in the ACE_RISE volunteering programme, contributing to community initiatives and developing social responsibility, intercultural collaboration, and volunteering skills in an international environment.
Romania is also hosting the ACE²-EU Applied Research Centre (ARC) Knowledge Creation Team Workshop “Cybersecurity & Digital Sovereignty”, bringing together researchers and experts to discuss cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, and future challenges in these fields. A representative of LIK is participating in the workshop, exploring current digital transformation topics together with researchers from partner institutions.
These activities once again demonstrate the ACE²-EU Alliance’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation in education, research, and societal engagement, while providing students and staff with opportunities to gain new knowledge, develop competencies, and acquire international experience.
