LIK invites students from partner institutions to take part in the Erasmus+ exchange. You can apply to come to study with us for one/two semesters if your home institution and LIK have signed a bilateral exchange agreement in your field of study, you have been officially nominated by your home institution, and you are sufficiently proficient in English to be able to follow courses.

In order to apply, you should send the following documents to our International Relations Coordinator |
- Learning Agreement, signed and stamped and scanned;
- 1 passport photo;
- Transcript of Records (from home university, in English);
- Copy of valid passport (for non EU citizens) or ID card (only for EU and EEA citizens);
- Application for dormitory (if needed).

Important practical and academic information
All international students coming to LIK are provided with guaranteed accommodation at the students' residence, which is located within walking distance of the LIK main campus (5-10 minutes). More information and how to apply here
If you would prefer to rent accommodation privately, you can find rooms, flats and homes advertised online on Solo Society, Aruodas, Domoplius and other websites. Alternatively, you can contact an estate agency (contact details of all the main real estate agencies are provided on the website of the Lithuanian Association of Real Estate Agencies).
Foreigners who are not considered permanent residents of Lithuania (those with the Schengen visa, national visa (D), temporary residence permit or a Temporary Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen) are only insured with Compulsory Health Insurance if they are employed, or have worked in Lithuania for 6 months and registered with the Employment Service after that. In other cases, foreigners are required to pay for all healthcare services provided both in private and public healthcare institutions.
Persons insured in EEA countries or Switzerland who have a document confirming their insurance (for example a EHIC) can get treatment that is medically necessary for free. Please take note that the European Health Insurance Card is not a substitute or replacement for private travel insurance and does not guarantee access to all services free of charge. You should always take out an appropriate private policy in addition to carrying your card. You should also be aware that costs of private healthcare or services that are not part of the state healthcare system will not be covered by the EHIC.
