From 28 August to 5 September, students from Santarém Polytechnic University took part in a volunteering programme organised by Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija and the Samylai Cultural Centre in Kaunas District. During the programme, the students gained insight into the behind-the-scenes organisation of cultural events for local communities: they planned and carried out various activities, contributed to organisational tasks, and helped ensure the smooth running of the events.

The volunteering programme also provided the students with an opportunity to gain practical experience in event organisation, learn more about local cultural life and the community, and strengthen their intercultural cooperation and teamwork skills. Through their initiative and support, they contributed to the organisation and delivery of two events held by the Samylai Cultural Centre.
