From 28 September to 1 October, Santarém Polytechnic University (Portugal) is hosting several ACE²-EU Alliance activities involving students and staff from Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija. The meetings and practical workshops focus on social well-being, international cooperation, quality assurance in higher education and the development of joint Alliance study initiatives.
From 28 to 30 September, LIK students Julius Šapoka and Justas Pečiukaitis, together with staff members Deimantė Dicevičiūtė, Audrius Lukoševičius, Luka Savickienė and Edmundas Šimoliūnas, are taking part in the Social Impactors Knowledge Creation Team Workshop (SI-KCTW) “Social Well-Being and Respect & Dignity”. During the international workshop, participants are working alongside representatives of other ACE²-EU institutions and external organisations to explore issues related to social well-being, respect and dignity and seek practical solutions to current social and economic challenges.
From 29 September to 1 October, Portugal is also hosting the WP2 Work Package and APP Factory meeting, attended by LIK representatives Gitana Vyčienė and Vilda Grybauskienė. During the APP Factory meeting, representatives of ACE²-EU partner institutions are working on the development of joint Alliance study programmes and pedagogical initiatives.
At the same time, LIK representatives Ingrida Bukantaitė and Mykolė Lukošienė are taking part in the Workshop on Joint Policies for QA. During the three-day workshop, ACE²-EU partners are working to align a common quality assurance framework, discussing procedures for joint educational activities, sharing institutional experience and developing a plan for further action.
These parallel activities in Santarém provide LIK students and staff with opportunities to contribute to different areas of the ACE²-EU Alliance – from addressing social challenges to developing joint study initiatives and a common quality assurance framework.
