From 26 to 29 May, the ACE²-EU Alliance Active Learning Pedagogy School (ALPS) is taking place in Madrid at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. Representatives of Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija HEI are participating alongside academic staff from partner universities across the alliance, deepening their knowledge of active-experiential learning and innovative, student-centred teaching methods.
During the first days of the programme, participants are presenting their countries and institutions. LIK representatives not only introduced Lithuania and shared insights into the HEI’s activities, but also reminded their colleagues that Lithuania’s second religion is basketball. During the intensive sessions currently taking place in Madrid, participants are engaging in practical workshops, team activities, and international projects, designing interactive learning activities and exploring ways to increase student engagement and collaboration in the learning process.
One of the training days will take place outdoors, beyond the university campus, where active learning will be experienced through movement, reflection, and connection with others during a guided hike. The competences gained will help LIK representatives create more modern learning experiences and contribute to the development of international ACE²-EU study initiatives.
