From 16 to 17 September, the Medical University of Gdańsk (Poland) is hosting the ACE²-EU Language Tandems Coordinators Workshop, bringing together coordinators responsible for implementing the initiative at partner institutions, as well as invited guests. Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija is represented by Vaiva Vismerytė-Kupstienė.
The two-day programme focuses on the development of the Language Tandems initiative, participant engagement and international communication. On the first day, participants are exploring ways to promote the initiative, communicate effectively through social media, and present multilingual and intercultural activities in an engaging way across different countries and institutional contexts. Coordinators are also sharing their experiences, discussing common challenges and exploring ways to increase the visibility of the initiative and encourage greater participation across the Alliance.
The second day will focus on modern approaches to foreign language learning, including peer learning, conversation-based activities, microlearning and intercultural learning. The workshop will conclude with joint action planning covering participant engagement, progress monitoring and the use of practical tools such as the Language Tandem Card, meeting logs and progress notes.
Coordinated by the Medical University of Gdańsk, the Language Tandems programme runs from May 2026 to May 2027 and is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
