ACE²-EU: ACE_RISE Volunteering Programmes Launched at LIK

ACE_RISE volunteering programmes are now launching at Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija. Together with social partners, the ACE²-EU universities are organising ACE_RISE volunteering programmes that promote students’ civic engagement, solidarity, and social responsibility across Europe.

One of the volunteering strands on offer, “Social Impactors”, is dedicated to addressing key societal challenges in the areas of culture and diversity, social welfare, respect and dignity, and gender equality.

From 11–18 May, LIK, in cooperation with "Kauno hospiso namai", is hosting a volunteering activity entitled “You Are Not Alone in Suffering”, with Krume from North Macedonia taking part as a volunteer.

During the week, Krume will become familiar with the hospice’s work and organisational activities and will visit patients in their homes. It is hoped that this volunteering experience will contribute to socially beneficial initiatives while also fostering empathy, responsibility, and intercultural awareness.
