From 15 to 19 December, LIK students are taking part in the ACE²-EU Applied Blended Challenge (ABC) programme “CoActEU – Law, Policies and Practices for Sustainable Societies”, hosted by Goce Delchev University in Štip, North Macedonia.
Throughout the programme, students work in international and interdisciplinary teams to explore European Union sustainability policies, legal frameworks and practices. They identify local community challenges and, in close cooperation with academics, local authorities and civil society representatives, develop practical and innovative solutions to real societal issues.
The programme combines online theoretical sessions with intensive on-site, team-based activities at the host university, including discussions with lecturers and practitioners and the completion of practical tasks. In the final phase, students draw on EU sustainability priorities and local needs to prepare and present concrete solution proposals for the Municipality of Štip and other local partners, contributing to sustainable and long-term societal impact.
