From May 5th to 9th, 2025, Lietuvos Inzinerijos Kolegija HEI hosted its annual International Week, a vibrant and enriching event bringing together educators, researchers, and professionals from around the world. Set against the backdrop of Kaunas, this week-long celebration fosters international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and cultural appreciation in the field of engineering and educational technologies.
The event was opened on Monday, May 5th, with warm welcome at the Business Leaders Centre, followed by the official opening ceremony and a group photograph. Partners from different countries, such as Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Poland, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Latvia and India had a chance to get to know LIK and its facilities as well as laboratories. Furthermore, meetings and individually scheduled lectures or training sessions were held and then followed with a with a guided cultural tour of Kaunas.
An International Conference on Engineering and Educational Technologies 2025 was traditionally held on Wednesday in the Science Island, a hub of innovation and discovery located on Karaliaus Mindaugo Avenue. Attendees engaged in ground-breaking presentations, enjoyed lunch onsite, and took part in a guided tour of the facility and its planetarium. The conference then continued with work in specialized scientific groups, giving space for deeper collaboration and discussions.
International Week 2025 is more than just an event: it’s a platform for building meaningful academic and professional relationships across borders. By combining high-level academic discourse with immersive cultural experiences, the programme reinforces the value of global cooperation in shaping the future of education and engineering.
