ACE²-EU: LIK Students Take Part in Flavour School in Portugal

From 25 to 29 May, the ACE²-EU Alliance Flavour School “From Living Soil to Living Food: A One Health Perspective” is taking place at Santarém Polytechnic University in Portugal, with students from Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija.

During the first days, international participants gathered at the School of Agriculture and took part in ice-breaking activities and discussions on soil, food systems, and global health. The opening of the programme also included an informal tasting of regional wines and cheeses.

On the second day, the focus shifted to agricultural sustainability – students explored the principles of organic and regenerative farming and engaged in practical field and laboratory work, where soil was studied as a living ecosystem.
